Single-line text entry with the cds field paint: field, ghost (menu search) and bare (inline rename).
Variants
field paints the translucent fill and the inset ring; ghost is the search row of a menu (the row owns focus); bare inherits the parent type and paints nothing.
Sizes
data-size re-scales height, radius, padding and text: 24 / 28 / 28 (touch 32) / 40px, radius 6 / 7 / 8 / 10 (compact density: 20 / 20 / 24 / 28). Placeholder #878787 in both modes.
States
Hover rings only on hover-capable pointers and never while focused, invalid or disabled. Focus is the cds focus shadow; aria-invalid paints the danger ring (and the danger focus shadow).
With a label
Stacked label 14/14 w500, 8px above the control. Inside a Field the id and aria wiring are automatic (see Field).
Light and dark
Rest, focus (tab into it) and invalid in both modes.
