Combobox
A searchable select: the Select trigger and popup with a full-bleed search row, live filtering, "No results", multi-select and a pill header.
Searchable select
The trigger looks like SelectTrigger. Opening focuses the search row (37px, 16px inline padding, bottom rule, no placeholder); typing filters live and highlights the first match; the popup shrinks to fit. Escape closes without committing.
Ghost trigger in a settings row
Voice › Language: the ghost trigger, end-aligned popup, groups and a separator.
Spoken language for voice mode.
Multi-select (repository picker)
multiple keeps the popup open and shows a check per selection. The pill header holds the search glyph, the input and ghost actions. defer-highlight suppresses the highlight paint until the first Arrow key.
Field search input and sheet
variant="field" keeps shadcn's search field (InputGroup) look; presentation="sheet" forces the touch bottom sheet (drag down to dismiss, drag up for the tall detent).
