Field
Stacked form fields, settings rows (SettingsRow), choice rows, fieldsets and errors, with automatic id / ARIA wiring.
Vertical (form field)
Label → control 8px. The Field provides ids: the label points at the control, the control is described by the description and the error, and aria-invalid follows invalid. Only the error line turns red. Type, then clear the name.

Settings rows
orientation horizontal + variant setting = SettingsRow: gap 28, padding-block 12, a regular-weight title and a body-size muted description; 56px with a 32px control and no description. FieldGroup settings divides rows with an alpha-1 rule. Switches and selects are labelled by the row title.
Choice rows and cards
horizontal: control first, top-aligned to the first text line. A FieldLabel wrapping a Field becomes a choice card (accent border and tint when checked).

Legend 14/20 w500 with 12px to the group; inline puts a 128px label column before the control.
