Modal dialogs: six sizes, the 44px band header (15/20 title, in-flow 28px Close, scroll hairline), 16px body, popover and panel surfaces, nesting with blur and veil, 200ms fade + scale.
Sizes
sm 400 · md 520 (default) · lg 720 · xl 880 · 2xl 1024 · 3xl 1152. The width is the viewport minus 16px on each side when smaller. Every dialog uses the band header: 44 tall (28 + 2 × 8), padding 8 8 8 16, Close in-flow at the end.
Forms
The first field takes focus on open (initialFocus auto); Enter submits; a disabled primary fades to .4.
Surfaces and layout
The default popover surface is #fff | #303030; surface="panel" is the desktop Settings shell (surface-2 #1f1f1f, small panel shadow, dark 1px border); padding="none" hands layout to the slot; fullHeight fills the viewport minus 16px.
